ASEAN School

        The establishment of ASEAN School is to adjust to the needs of talents of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone and of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area construction. The development orientation of the school is investigative government cultivating school. Its building has been listed as an Autonomous Region Chairman Project and key project supported by the national government as well as Autonomous Region Making Overall Plans Advancing Major Project. Through several years’ efforts, the school has become talent highland where highly qualified professional are cultivated and assemble, serving to national ASEAN strategies and regional construction such as China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and Guangxi Beibu Gulf Economic Zone; It turns into research highland where major projects of relevant government China-ASEAN issues are undertaken and consultation, decision basis about ASEAN issues are offered for government; It proves to be ASEAN information highland which are most comprehensive and most authoritative at home and abroad; It has formed overall characteristic and advantages and has developed into extremely influential national key study base both at home and abroad. Li Zhaoxing, a former Foreign Minister, is employed by ASEAN School of Guangxi University for Nationalities as Dean Emeritus, which will give a powerful impetus to the development of the school and lay an important foundation for the good beginning and sound development of school.
